The candidate should be familiar with front-end and back-end development, and be able to follow requirements documents while voicing his/her opinions on possible improvements and innovations. Position Responsibilities: * Plan functional solutions to complex problems * Deliver high-quality and efficient Java-based software solutions * Work closely with other departments to ensure all relevant and agreed upon aspects of the application communicate efficiently * Follow and help evolve coding standards and practices * Collaborate with team members to bridge the gap between front-end and back-end applications Skill Requirements: * Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field * Proficiency in Java with 2+ years of professional experience * JSP/JSTL proficiency in an MVC environment * Knowledge and experience with Agile development practices * Experience and desire to work in a test driven development environment moving toward continuous deployment * Reasonable knowledge of NoSQL implementations * Experience with Tomcat and Apache Desired Traits: * 3+ years experience using Java Frameworks, preferably Spring * 3+ years experience developing in a CMS driven environment (Magnolia experience a plus) * Knowledge and experience working in a cloud environment * Direct experience with MongoDB or another NoSQL implementation * Experience instituting test driven development and continuous integration process * Experience with Jenkins, IntelliJ, Maven, and Jira
